Who is the registrar?
Domains are registered through our ICANN-accredited registrar partner, with Great Cloud Hosting as your reseller and point of contact. You are listed as the registrant and you hold the rights to the name — we never register a domain in our own name on your behalf.
Can I move my domain away later?
Yes, and we will not make it difficult. Domains are transfer-locked for sixty days after registration or transfer because ICANN requires it, not because we do. After that, request your authorisation code in the client area and it is issued automatically, no ticket and no retention call.
What does WHOIS privacy cost?
Nothing. It is switched on by default for every extension whose registry permits it, which keeps your name, address, phone number, and email out of public WHOIS. Some country-code and restricted extensions do not allow it; the table above marks which.
Do I have to host with you to register a domain?
No. You can register or transfer a domain and point it anywhere — another host, a page builder, a mail provider. Full DNS management, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, and CAA records, is included either way.
What happens if I forget to renew?
We email you at 45, 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before expiry, and again after. Most extensions then enter a redemption period during which the registry charges a restoration fee to bring the name back. Turn on auto-renew and none of this matters.
Can I register a domain for more than one year?
Yes, up to ten years for most generic extensions. Longer registrations are a small hedge against price changes at the registry level and mean fewer renewal dates to track.
